WOYWW

Good Morning WOYWW(er's)
My desk is still as messy as last weeks I just pushed away some bits to make way for this quick project I did on last night. I was tidying up my kitchen when I noticed a very boring looking candle which I had never used. It smelled nice but was hidden away, probably because it didn't look very pretty. Anyway I knew I had some free paper's from Simply Homemade magazine which I have to say "I love!" Anyway I decided that this candle needed more TLC than the dirty pots and pans so set to work making this candle look pretty instead! Some people may think I have my priorities wrong but I can assure you that the kitchen will get a lot more attention when I have that lovely candle lit and smelling beautifully than it would have done without it!!!
Can't wait to pop over and see what everyone else has been up to. Have a great day.
If you want to join in just pop over to Julia's blog to take part.http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/

Kichen is not as important a space a crafting. Glad you have your priorities right. My wife usually lights candles while she's cooking so I may have to decorate a few too. Have a nice day

This is a great idea. And there is no such thing as wrong priorities, just variations. Thanks for the share.

No matter how much housework you do it will always be there so why worry about it? Let the craftiness come first I say!

I agree with your theory, the housework will be much more enjoyable if you have a pretty candle to cheer you on while you do it!! Annette #5

Thats such a good idea - I have a candle in a glass jar and it looks a bit rubbish so I might pimp it up now! thanks for the inspiration.

Oh pots and pans and ironing can wait! But if you've got this urge to create, that's not always there and you have to, as they say, just do it! Great job on the candle! Patsy from

Love the candle idea. Will give the room a lovely warm glow and another plus is it can't see into the corners!. Rather think you are under the impression that I go to bed really early in order to get up early. Wrong. I actually went to bed at 6am that evening( erm morning). See you are into genealogy too. How far have you managed to get back? Iv'e gone back as far as 1543 on one branch of my family. Managed to get the very last copy off the shelf at WHS of Simply Homemade. Snatched it out from under the nose of a lady who was divering.( Well alls fair in love and war) Gosh this is turning into a rather long comment. (Still iv'e got all night)! Loved your tag from the previous post and also now a follower. Hugs Mrs A. #58

Thanks for commenting on my desk - didn't win the WI comp but didn't lose either so not a bad result. Have to agree you mind will be much more receptive to repeatative tasks now the candle is not distracting you with its ugliness. Looks great now.
